Q1: What are the differences between the 3 license types of AutoPrint?

The out-of-the-box installation results into a Free licensed version. This version allows thoroughly testing of all AutoPrint features including those of the Standard and the Professional license in your individual or in a companys computer and network environment. Nevertheless the execution is stopped after a certain number of file pickups. Users who only need a few files being printed a day may stay with the Free license and further use AutoPrint for free.

The Standard license turns AutoPrint into a system which is equivalent or above the former AutoPrint 3.20 application series.

It allows to print an unlimited number of files, while the user is logged-in to his/her Windows account. AutoPrint can be minimized to the Windows task bar during all processing work.

The Professional licensed system is specialized for a safe and unattended service operation on Windows servers and workstations.

It includes several added features which provide a higher flexibility in huge LAN environments, but also sets aside some functions which are not accepted by Windows for programs in service mode.

The feature matrix provides a complete overview comparing the features of the 3 AutoPrint license types.

Q2: Upgrade your AutoPrint license from Standard to Professional?

Special offer for recently registered users of the AutoPrint Standard license

If you have purchased an AutoPrint Standard license not more than 6 months ago and you rather prefer the Professional license, you are eligible to receive

a 21%-discount.  You may upgrade through the following simple procedure:

(1) Purchase another Standard license.

(2) Send us a short message by email. Please attach a copy of your receipt if available or any other reference.

(3) We will send you the registration code set for the Professional license within 48 h.

This offer is limited to one license per registrated user.

Q3: Is it necessary to uninstall a previous AutoPrint version before installing a new one?

Normally no. Only for the first installation of a version equal or above AutoPrint 6.02 we recommend uninstalling any previous version.

If you want to save already created settings from previous installations, you may save and later restore the file AutoPrint.apc.

Users of the former AutoPrint Professional (version 5.xx) may save the file AutoPrintPro.apc, rename it to AutoPrint.apc and finally copy it into the hidden directory C:\ProgramData\AutoPrint.

Take care: If AutoPrint is yet running as Windows service: before you can uninstall, the service needs to be stopped and uninstalled through the AutoPrint
