The Print Channel Monitor

This is the left area on the AutoPrint application main window.
If AutoPrint is active, but minimized, you can get back here anytime, by clicking the AutoPrint icon at the bottom right in the Windows system tray area.

1  The Print Channel Monitor area displays a list of all defined print channels, including their states and activities. Individual channels can be switched on or off.
If AutoPrint is also running as a service, the relevant print channels information is being overlayed here into this area, while the print channels of the application are deactivated.

 2  File input folder
The path of the file input folder and its current availability are provided here.

The green LED signals an active connection to the input file folder with sufficient read/write access privileges. The print channel is ready to pickup files.

The red LED signals a failed connection to the file folder. The connection is being checked frequently now and once it is restored, the print channel
     continues working.

Once a file has arrived in the folder, its name is added and maintained in the second line.

 3  Printer name

The printers name and its current availability are provided here.

The green LED signals an active connection to the related printer driver and its access to the connected physical printer.

The red LED signals a failed connection to the printer. The connection is being checked frequently now and once it is restored, the print channel
     continues working.

The second line informs about the number of pending print jobs (not only those sent from AutoPrint). This number can optionally be configured as a threshold parameter for balancing the printer load.

 4 Job process state

The print channel runs through different states during a normal printing process. This indicator can help identifying slow connections or other blocking situations.

 5  Activity switch

The print channel can be switched on/off by clicking this button. If the channel was marked as an AutoStart channel (default) during the setup,
it will also go active after the next application start.

 6  Direct print channel setup

Clicking the small tool symbol in the upper right edge directly opens the related print channels Setup tab.
